ACRYLIC PAINTING – Henri Matisse – Gold Fish (Paint and Sip)
This class will help you express your creativity and develop your acrylic painting skills. This is one of a number of classes focusing on a different artists to explore a variety of techniques and styles. Today’s Artist is Henri Matisse – and we will be painting his iconic work ‘Gold fish’
Learn acrylic painting in a fun, relaxed, small class. No previous experience is required and all equipment and materials are supplied.
Acrylics are a fabulous medium as they are easy to work with, colours are vibrant, and they dry quickly. In this 6 week course, you will learn a range of drawing and painting techniques and be guided to paint a picture or in the style of six inspiring artists. You will produce a great artwork you can proudly display.
Live For Art classes provide a supportive and friendly environment for students to build confidence and develop their art practice with guidance and feedback from their tutor.
Light refreshments (tea, coffee) provided. You are also welcome to BYO drinks and some nibbles if you like. We provide glasses and plates.
Henri Matisse was a French. He was a revolutionary and influential artist of the early 20th century, best known for the expressive color and form of his Fauvist style. The Goldfish, 1912 belongs to a series that Matisse produced between spring and early summer 1912.
Your Tutor –Â Setareh HosseiniÂ
Setareh is a visual artist who has exhibited internationally. As a child she was touched by her mothers art classes in a family where music and painting formed the atmosphere in the home. She has extensive experience teaching adults and children to be creative through a range of art forms. Setareh completed a Masters of Illustration in 2005 at the Faculty of Art and Architecture, Tehran, Iran. She also has a BA in graphic design and an MA in illustration.
