ABOUT LIVE FOR ART

At Live For Art, ‘creating art for life’ isn’t just a slogan – we believe that art can enrich and transform our lives! Expressing our creativity brings pleasure, fulfilment, builds self-esteem, and literally colours our day.

We can help you create ‘art for life’ in a number of ways, through participating in a Studio Class, an online E-Course (coming soon), learning from our regular YouTube videos and more in our Resources section or through purchasing great Products and tools to use in your creations.

Join a Studio Class

Our studio opened in Richmond, Melbourne in early 2020; it is in a great location among cafes and restaurants in Bridge Rd.

Our classes are for everyone, absolutely no painting experience is needed. Weekday, evening and weekend classes available. Live For Art classes provide a supportive and friendly environment for participants to build confidence and develop their art practice with guidance and feedback from their tutor.  Come to learn, or just simply for a fun, therapeutic experience.

Children’s Classes available during school holiday and every second Saturday morning.

Many classes are ‘Paint and Sip’ – experience a fun and creative night out with friends and colleagues. Learn step by step to create beautiful art whilst sipping on your favourite beverage, without having painted before! We supply all the art materials, you supply BYO drinks and nibbles! 

If ‘Creativity is intelligence having fun’ (Albert Einstein); then our Paint and Sip events take that to the next level.

Fluid Art Classes

Come and join the fluid art revolution with artist Julie Langdon at one of our Fluid Art workshops. Julie explores a range of different fluid art techniques. Let your imagination soar and create beautiful vivid pieces of artwork with astonishing, complex gradients. Wow your family and friends.
Children’s and family classes available and look out for multi-media abstract art coming soon.

acrylic painting

Create beautiful acrylic paintings in an abstract or realism style with artist’s Setareh Hosseini or Graeme West. Here paint brushes are allowed as you produce your own unique art under the guidance of your tutor. Join a regular ‘paint and sip’ class; take an acrylic painting course or do a fluid art embellishment class to add further features to your acrylic pour.

We have our own special brand ‘live4art’, and we are building a range of art products and tools. Currently you can purchase Dimethicone (Silicone Oil) in both Australia  and the US, other products will be added soon.

Take an online course "Coming soon"

You will be able to get the same great content as a live class, to take at your leisure in your own home. All the steps, products and techniques are fully explored and you will be supported by a private Facebook group and regular live events and Q&A.

For some time we have been wanting to delve into the world of Acrylic Pouring... Live For Art is a great place to start! … So far we have learned the 'swipe', 'ring pour' and 'cells with silicone oil' techniques and loved each method so much that we decided to come back for another class where we learned the 'bloom' technique. Julie was very patient in demonstrating and guiding us through each technique, giving us time to explore each method thoroughly.
