This acrylic painting class will help you express your creativity and develop your acrylic painting skills. Focusing on a different artist every week, this class will focus on Georgia O’Keeffe – explore her techniques and styles as you gain confidence, use your imagination and express your own style.

Learn acrylic painting in a fun, relaxed, small class. No previous experience is required and all equipment, materials, support and direction are supplied.

Acrylics are a fabulous medium as they are easy to work with, colours are vibrant, and they dry quickly. This class can be taken by itself or along with any other sessions of a 6 week course, you will learn a range of drawing and painting techniques and be guided to paint a picture or in the style of six inspiring artists. You will produce a great artwork you can proudly display.

Live For Art classes provide a supportive and friendly environment for students to build confidence and develop their art practice with guidance and feedback from their tutor. 

Light refreshments (tea, coffee) provided. This is a ‘Paint and Sip’ event, so you are welcome to BYO drink and some nibbles. We provide glasses and plates.

Create based on Rene Magritte artworks

Rene Magritte was a Belgian surrealist artist, who became well known for creating a number of witty and thought-provoking images. Often depicting ordinary objects in an unusual context, his work is known for challenging observers’ preconditioned perceptions of reality. 

Your Tutor – Setareh Hosseini 

Setareh is a visual artist who has exhibited internationally. As a child she was touched by her mothers art classes in a family where music and painting formed the atmosphere in the home. She has extensive experience teaching adults and children to be creative through a range of art forms. Setareh completed a Masters of Illustration in 2005 at the Faculty of Art and Architecture, Tehran, Iran. She also has a BA in graphic design and an MA in illustration.
