This acrylic painting class will help you express your creativity and develop your acrylic painting skills. Focusing on a different artist every week, this class will focus on Egon Schiele – explore his techniques and styles as you gain confidence, use your imagination and express your own style.

Learn acrylic painting in a fun, relaxed, small class. No previous experience is required and all equipment, materials, support and direction are supplied.

Acrylics are a fabulous medium as they are easy to work with, colours are vibrant, and they dry quickly. This class can be taken by itself or along with any other sessions of a 6 week course, you will learn a range of drawing and painting techniques and be guided to paint a picture or in the style of six inspiring artists. You will produce a great artwork you can proudly display.

Live For Art classes provide a supportive and friendly environment for students to build confidence and develop their art practice with guidance and feedback from their tutor. 

Light refreshments (tea, coffee) provided. This is a ‘Paint and Sip’ event, so you are welcome to BYO drink and some nibbles. We provide glasses and plates.

Create based on Egon Schiele artworks

Egon Schiele was an Austrian Expressionist painter.  

His work is noted for its intensity and many self portraits. 

He has a stunning collection of landscapes paintings and drawings that brings to light a little-known aspect of this famous painter’s oeuvre. 

Your Tutor – Setareh Hosseini 

Setareh is a visual artist who has exhibited internationally. As a child she was touched by her mothers art classes in a family where music and painting formed the atmosphere in the home. She has extensive experience teaching adults and children to be creative through a range of art forms. Setareh completed a Masters of Illustration in 2005 at the Faculty of Art and Architecture, Tehran, Iran. She also has a BA in graphic design and an MA in illustration.
