ABSTRACT ACRYLIC PAINTING – 4 WEEK COURSE
A new Abstract Acrylic Painting course is here. This is a 4 week course (every second Friday morning) will to help you express your creativity and develop your acrylic painting skills. Focusing on a different artist every week, we will explore a variety of techniques and styles as you gain confidence, use your imagination and express your own style
Learn abstract acrylic painting in a fun, relaxed, small class. No previous experience is required and all equipment and materials are supplied.
Acrylics are a fabulous medium as they are easy to work with, colours are vibrant, and they dry quickly. In this 4 week course, you will learn a range of drawing and painting techniques and be guided to paint a picture in the style of four inspiring artists. You will produce a great artwork you can proudly display.
Live For Art classes provide a supportive and friendly environment for students to build confidence and develop their art practice with guidance and feedback from their tutor.
Light refreshments (tea, coffee) provided.
If you cannot do the whole 4 week course, you will be able to attend individual sessions, however we encourage you to come to the series, to build up your skills and confidence.Â
The course is $237.60 (inc gst) (which is a 10% saving of $26.40 compared to 4 individual classes).

The artists / painting in the course will be
1- Piet Mondrian
Piet Mondrian was a Dutch painter. He is known for being one of the pioneers of 20th-century abstract art, as he changed his artistic direction from figurative painting to an increasingly abstract style, until he reached a point where his artistic vocabulary was reduced to simple geometric elements.
Mark Rothko was an American abstract painter. He is best known for his color field paintings that depicted irregular and painterly rectangular regions of color, which he produced from 1949 to 1970.
Helen Frankenthaler was an American abstract expressionist painter. She was a major contributor to the history of postwar American painting.
Kazimir Malevich was a Polish-Ukrainian Russian avant-garde artist and art theorist, whose pioneering work and writing had a profound influence on the development of non-objective art (or abstract art) in the 20th century.
Your Tutor – Setareh HosseiniÂ
Setareh is a visual artist who has exhibited internationally. As a child she was touched by her mothers art classes in a family where music and painting formed the atmosphere in the home. She has extensive experience teaching adults and children to be creative through a range of art forms. Setareh completed a Masters of Illustration in 2005 at the Faculty of Art and Architecture, Tehran, Iran. She also has a BA in graphic design and an MA in illustration.
