Does your child like to draw? This workshop has been created due to the number of requests we have had about drawing and sketching classes for children. 

In this class, children will learn about the miracle of creation by drawing with lines – take a look around and you’ll find examples of lines everywhere. Lines are the most fundamental building material of the drawing!

Multiple drawings will be completed on paper.

No specific experience is needed. 

This class is for children 8 years to 14 years. Parents / carers may stay as participants, observers or helpers, but this is not required, unless your child needs individualised support. (Please let us know if you want to stay as a helper in the checkout comments as we have limited places for additional non participants and need to manage social distancing and seating). 

Children are asked to bring a set of 12 or 24 coloured pencils. All other materials are supplied.

Participants are provided with:

• Most supplies including paper, black pencil, eraser, ruler (please bring your own coloured pencils).
• Drinking water

About your teacher.

Setareh Hosseini is a visual artist based in Melbourne who has exhibited internationally. As a child she was touched by her mothers art classes in a family where music and painting formed the atmosphere in the home. She has extensive experience teaching adults and children to be creative through a range of art forms and loves helping children be creative. Setareh completed a Masters of Illustration in 2005 at the Faculty of Art and Architecture, Tehran, Iran. She also has a BA in graphic design and an MA in illustration.  Setareh has a Working with Children Check.

Your child should not attend the class if they, or any family members have COVID-19 OR are a close primary contact of anyone with COVID-19, OR if you are experiencing fever, chills or sweat, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose of have a loss of taste or smell. (A full refund will be provided if you are unwell).
