CHILDREN’S FLUID ART – AFTER SCHOOL – 6 sessions
Fluid Art, also called Pouring Art or Acrylic Pouring, is fun and can be accessible to all ages. In this first afterschool course being offered at Live For Art, children will be introduced to the wonder of fluid art where they can create beautiful, colourful pieces of artwork and enhance their creativity. This class is for Primary School Aged children.
Over 6 weeks in term 1, students will have the opportunity to try at least 6 different fluid art techniques and to develop their skills and confidence. Mostly we will use 30 x 40cm canvas, and one week on a couple of ceramic coasters. The last session will include a larger canvas approx 40 x 50 cm. All instruction, support and materials are supplied.
The sessions will be weekly on Thursdays 4pm to 5.30pm from 27th February to 3rd April 2025.
Note enrollment is for the full 6 sessions, with no make up classes available if students miss classes.
Note that fluid art paintings cannot be taken home on the day, they need to dry flat and can be collected at the following class.
Participants will learn:
- How to make paint fluid
- How to work with fluid paint in a range of different styles
- How to mix paints and paint mediums suitable for the fluid art technique we do
- Explore colour and composition
Participants are provided with:
- All supplies provided including canvases, paint, pouring medium, cups, gloves, plastic apron and tools.
- Drinking water
We use acrylic paint that is non toxic. Remember to wear old clothes as it can be a messy business, and whilst the paint and mediums will wash out if you get to it quickly, that is not always easy to do.
